Seema Ali Rizzo

Seema Ali Rizzo, Esq. is a graduate of York University in Toronto, Ontario, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She received her Juris Doctor degree and Certificate in Family Law and Social Policy from Syracuse University College of Law and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1998. Ms. Rizzo moved to Rochester, New York, in 1998 to accept a position with the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct as Staff Attorney. In 2002 she joined the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. In 2003, she joined the law firm of Gallo & Iacovangelo, LLP as an Associate Attorney. Ms. Rizzo was named a Partner with the firm in 2010. Ms. Rizzo concentrates her practice in the area of family and matrimonial law and is Chair of the Domestic Relations/Family Law Division of the firm’s Litigation Department. In addition, Ms. Rizzo is a member of both the Monroe County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association’s Family Law Sections, the Collaborative Law Association of the Rochester Area and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. In addition to being the Immediate Past Chairperson of the DIAL Board of Directors, she is also involved in various other not-for-profit organizations in the Rochester community, including the United Way, the March of Dimes and has served on the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association. In 2005, Ms. Rizzo was a recipient of the Rochester Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” Award.
